I am awaiting a refund from a canceled stay at your hotel- Ameristay on Market St. in Wilmington, NC. The gentleman I spoke with on Friday 4/12/19 (technically Saturday because we checked in after midnight) said that the refund should be returned to my account this week. As of today, I have no monies returned. I have contacted my bank every day asking if there is a pending return transaction from your accommodation & they say there is not one. I have also called your hotel several times to speak with someone & no one answers. I am very disappointed in the quality of service received. We checked out because I asked for a nonsmoking room but the room we were given was full of smoke & triggered a migraine for me. Also, the smoke detector was unattached!!! This is a HUGE liability!! Not to mention, the hotel was absolutely disgusting! You false advertise with older photos presenting a comfortable accommodation. There is asbestos in the ceiling tiles from them caving in & swelling from water damage. There was more than likely mold as well. The gentleman warned us about the renovations, but honestly there seemed to be no renovations going on at all. I will be contacting the proper authorities. I expect a full refund immediately.
HP Pete locked me in 217 - October 11th, 2019 10:58:18
WARNING FOR YOUR SAFETY!!!!!!!!! I worked for Ameri-Stay, Super-8, as well as Best Western on Carolina Beach road in Wilmington, NC. I worked 80 work weeks on average and was the highest hourly paid worker. Never stay there. The owners HP and Pete Patel trapped me in room 217 non smoking king bed and persisted sexually for missing one day of the entire career. If the two partial owners of the hotels can do this to their most honest hardworking employee at the time, then they don't care about the guests. I know of 3 employee's thus far with similar issues. Oh and the hotel was supposed to be renovated 2 years ago. Oh and the side doors occasionally will be fixed, but only 10 days of the year. And the flood smell is from the backed up plumbing the city keeps contacting them about. I can go on and if anyone is interested in seeing documents of so, I would love to show anyone who will listen!!!
